Excelsus Gamay

Terroirs are located in the heart of the Loire Valley and more precisely along the coteaux de la Loire area.

Geological characteristic

Clay-chalky soils with underlying eruptive rocks.

Grape variety

100% Black Gamay.

Colour and alcohol content

Red ruby cherry coloured - Alc. 12% Vol.

Vinification process

Harverest when reaching full maturity, the wine is made in thermo-regulated stainless steel vats.
Maceration 5 to 7 days. This process is followed by malolactic fermentation. Racked in order to preserve
its freshness, the wine is then matured 4 to 5 months before being bottled.

Technical parameters

Acidity : 3,5 g/l - ph 3,45 - Free SO2 : 30 mg/l (indicative measures).

Tasting notes

Characteristic Gamay grape witth red fruit aromas : strawberry and raspberry. Engaging flavour with a
smooth velvety texture. To be served at 14°C.
