Wine-growing area

Estate of 40 hectares located in Cravant-les-Coteaux near Chinon along the Loire river.

Geological characteristic

Soil made of gravel and sand with large stripes of shale on the heights.

Grape variety

100% CABERNET FRANC (dit BRETON).

Colour and alcohol content

Deep and shiny cherry-red colour. Alcohol : 12,5% vol.

Vinification process

Fermentation made from the whole grapes (without their ligneous part) during 10 to 15 days in thermoregulated stainless steel vats then the wine is kept in those vats until the bottling.

Technical parameters

Acidity : 3,8 g/l - Sulphur : 30 mg/l (indicative measures).

Tasting notes

This wine is a typical CHINON which opens out first with a light fruity smell then reveals in mouth a powerful
and long lasting taste. Serving temperature at 14°c (while young), and 17°c (with ageing).
