Wine-growing area

Vineyards located along the Loire river. Both Sèvre and Maine rivers are crossing this delimited area of
appellation. 20 hectares estate situated in Vallet, on top of a hill.

Geological characteristic

Siliceous and schistous soil made of a significant part of gneiss.

Grape variety

100% Melon de Bourgogne, generally known as : MUSCADET

Colour and alcohol content

White, shiny with nice green glints. Alcohol : 12% vol

Vinification process

Pneumatic press then vinification in underground vats under controlled temperatures.
Conservation on the lees during 8 to 10 months for part in vats, part in wood casks in an air-conditioned cellar.
Bottling up usually during the month of November.

Technical parameters

Acidity : 4.5 g/l
Sulphur : 35 mg/l (indicative measure)

Tasting notes

Nice lemon smell and touch of exotic fruits followed by a generous tackle of the tongue.
Hold by a perfect acidic balance. Further more, its old vine origin gives structure to the wine
and makes it a worth keeping wine. Must be drunk cool around 12°c.
